**Terms and Conditions**
**Asterias boat rental– Boat Rentals in Milos, Greece**

By placing a booking through our platform, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions:

1. **Eligibility**

* Renters must be **18 years of age or older**.
* A valid **government-issued ID** must be presented at the time of rental.
* For **self-operated rentals**, the renter is not obligate to know how to drive, we will teach you how to drive.
* For motorboats with engines more than 30hp the customer must present a valid boating license or select a skipper.


 2. **Rental Types**

* We offer both **self-operated** and **captain-assisted** rentals.
* The type of rental selected must be confirmed at the time of booking and cannot be changed without prior notice and approval.

3. **Insurance and Liability**

* All our boats are insured for **third-party damages**.
* The renter is **fully responsible** for any damages to the boat or equipment not covered by insurance.
* The company assumes **no liability** for personal injuries, loss of property, or weather-related changes after departure.
* Renters must sign a **rental agrement** before departure.

4. **Safety and Conduct**

* All renters and passengers must adhere to local maritime laws and safety guidelines.
* Life jackets are provided and must be worn when required.
* Operation of the boat under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited.
* The company reserves the right to cancel or terminate any rental without refund if the renter is found in violation of safety rules or local regulations.

5. **Cancellations and Refunds**

If the cancellation is made:

* **30 days or more** before the arrival date: **100% refund**, excluding any bank or transaction fees.
* **15–29 days** before the arrival date: **50% refund**, excluding bank or transaction fees.
* **14 days or less** before the arrival date: **No refund**.

If you select to pay by **bank deposit** and fail to transfer the required amount within **3 days**, your booking will be automatically cancelled.

 6. **Weather and Force Majeure**

* In case of severe weather or unsafe conditions, we may reschedule your rental or offer a credit for future use. Refunds in such cases are at the company’s discretion.
* We are not liable for delays or cancellations due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., extreme weather, natural disasters, governmental restrictions).

7. **Check-in and Check-out**

* Specific times for check-in/check-out will be confirmed in your booking confirmation.
* Late return of the boat without prior agreement may incur additional charges.
* In case the customer wants to return the boat earlier there is NO refund.

8. **Use of Booking Platform**

* By using our website and booking platform, you confirm that all information provided is accurate and that you accept full responsibility for the reservation made under your name.

Data We Collect

Online reservation procedure

Guests of third party websites are asked to give personal data in order to complete their online reservations. The data they are asked to give are upon the administrator – controller of the system.

Data given automatically

There are many instances that we get data automatically. Such data are: IP address, type of device, location, date and time of accessing our system, pages that are visited and clicked, from which website someone came to our system, browser that is used, software that is used in the device or computer.

Data given from other sources

Our booking engines are integrated with other websites (online wholesalers, Online Travel Agents, etc) who are giving data about completed reservations. The data are used from controllers (administrators) for managing purposes.

Data we share with others

We share the above personal data with third party systems for basic purposes of completing an online reservation. For example, we use a third party mail provider for security reasons (to avoid emails going to spam). Our systems are cloud and we use hosting services of Amazon.com (https://aws.amazon.com/security/) . In addition in some instances we share data with third party systems for managing or accounting purposes of the controller (administrator). Also we share data with banks and online payment gateways for successful secure transactions.
